Quilled Hummingbird Thank You Card

Jun 29, 2013 by     No Comments    Posted under: Cards, Paper Quilling

We don’t have any hummingbirds where I currently live so I created one for myself in colorful colors. We do have hummingbird moths which are very nice to see every now and then but they are so tiny! To create this quilled hummingbird, I used the husking technique. I first drew an outline shape that I wanted my bird to resemble then formed the body, wings and tail separately before outlining them in the blue color. I love the way it turned out! I thought it would be pretty on a blue sky background then added the Thank You  and green border.

Who is Elaine?

I grew up watching my mom crafting and sewing so it was only natural that I took up doing the same hobbies. I live in Romania and came here almost five years ago, I fell in love, got married and never left. I love spending my spare time creating fun things like cards, cross stitch or stuffed animals. Please join me in the wonderful world of crafting!
