Owl Pillow
I saw this Owl Pillow online and loved the pattern! I shrunk my pattern down to make a smaller pillow to sit nicely on our couch.
I cut out the pieces using soft velvet materials and felt. Since I didn’t have felt for the beak, I cut out 2 triangles of yellow fabric and then sewed them together. Then I turned the beak inside out and ironed it flat.
I sewed all of the pieces on the owl along the edges of each piece. For the velvet wings and breast, I folded under the edges first to give them a nice finish.
Since I shrunk the pattern, I had to measure around the owl to see how long I would need the middle piece to be. Then I pinned it around the owl’s face and sewed. After that, I sewed on the owl’s back, leaving a space for stuffing.
I ended up with a really cute and soft pillow! I loved this pattern. It was so much fun to make. It was also really quick so I finished it within a few hours to surprise my family.
